  32. This is relatively bad news. Acornet boots Resources.*, !newsdir then
  33. Apps.*.

  35. It doesn't appear to be getting out of resources, as the last entry
  36. in the log you supplied (Resources.!WebHelper) does not have a 'Done'
  37. line, and I can't see what's different about WebHelper that should
  38. cause a problem with it.

  40. Ah, I just read your other message. It's stopping at webhelper
  41. because of the error message you mentioned. I totally fail to see
  42. any reference to !WebHelper.!Help anywhere inside of Acornet, so I
  43. can't see why it should be trying to run that.

  45. Does it do this when run from a clean boot?
  46. (ie. switch the computer on with shift help down, then (holding
  47. control all the time), !Acornet and doubleclick on it. Then release
  48. control.

  50. For want of a better immediate solution, try deleting !WebHelper from
  51. the !Acornet.Apps directory.

  53. If anyone else has problems with 'bootapps', please let me or the
  54. list know. It works perfectly on my RiscPC and on my A3020, with and
  55. without NewerLook loaded, so I'm rather at a loss as to why it goes
  56. wrong!
